“My dreams are to finish music school and to be one of the best saxophonists in the world.” This is how he presented at his interview. He was a quiet unassuming young man who enjoyed playing basketball with his mother who did her best to fill in for his absent father. As his education progressed, so did his ambition and his persistence earned him our support to study abroad at Fort Hays State University in Kansas where he completed a degree in Music. His relationship with his Mentor was heartwarming and they developed a lasting bond that persists today.
