She approached us from the Island of Exuma, penniless, parentless, and as a last long shot to pursue her dream of practicing Cosmetology and Massage Therapy. Her background was fraught with difficulties and her history was not encouraging. But what she had was a will to survive and to make the most of herself. With an infectious smile she stole her way into our hearts and no doubt, the hearts of her teachers. She pulled it off and graduated with a big smile and a job opportunity, eager to pursue her chosen career.
